What a great half-term holiday this Autumn...5 days of Holiday Clubs, 200+ excited children, 1000's of Nerf darts, 100's of hula hoops, mountains of mud and halloween madness with Dr Wally.
The children of Brighton and Hove had a great time over the October half-term holidays with our instructors at Hove Park. Over 5 days we ran a series of different activities, each day different to the last.
Monday was an Elite Nerf Mega Day, where children could practice their Nerf shooting skills on the target range, before playing team base invasion games to perfect their new skills.
Tuesday saw children getting muddy and creative with a Forest School day where they made mud castles, tribal necklaces, bows and arrows and leaf crowns.
Wednesday we had special guest 'Mook Skywalker' to run a circus skills day, along with a balance workshop by our very own Jordan Rawal, resident slacklining expert! Children learnt how to hula hoop, spin plates, use staffs, Poi and Diabolo, as well as balancing along the slack line.
Thursday we had a full wild day in the woods at 3 Cornered Copse with our bushcraft expert Paul Worsley. Paul has just returned from 7 days in New England USA taking part in his Level 4 Tracking & Sign & Trail qualification. Which he successfully passed with flying colours! Working with Cyber Tracker to monitor and log Global animal numbers for animal welfare research and population numbers.
...and finally Friday, our Mad Science Halloween Special. Doctor Wally and his assistant helped the children to make rockets and volcanoes, followed by a zombie apocalypse Nerf session to finish the week.
We will be running our Holiday activities again in February half-term 2016 so keep an eye out for details on our website or like us on Facebook.
