Learning through nature with The Outdoors ProjectBase Camp is part field, part woodland with a permanent outdoor classroom, fire pit, Mud Kitchen, Nerf Area, parachute shelter for rainy days, parking for coaches, toilets and plenty of space for exploring, learning and adventures!

The site is open from May to September each year.

What we do at Base Camp:

Saturday Sessions:  Bushcraft Skills & Nerf Action.  1 and half hour sessions for age 6  + (Book online. Open to campers and non campers).  We also run a session 10-11.30 for campers only, this is booked via The Macs Farm camping booking.

Holiday Clubs:  Different activities everday on farm. Age 6+ (May 1/2 Term & Summer Holidays  - sign up to maillist to be first to hear about onsale)

Birthday Parties / Group sessions:  Individual sessions catered to your needs

School Workshops:   Coach parking, toilets, marquee for lunch. We can work with you on creating activites as required;  Survival Workshops (Castaways), Mayan & Stone Age Tribes Adventure, Vikings & Crusaders.

Meet The Macs

Susie & Danny are a fourth-generation organic egg farming family whose farm is located in the beautiful village of Ditchling in East Sussex in the heart of the South Downs National Park.

As well as selling their amazing organic eggs & promoting organic food, animal welfare, farming and environmental education they also host their beautiful “Quirky Campsite” opening on selected weekends from May to August with three fields of fire lit camping, The Macs Shack – “cocktail bar”, Friday night wood fired Pizza night, Deano’s Snake Shack & The Outdoors Project “Base Camp” sessions running every Saturday.
