Looking for Work Experience? Volunteer with us!

DO YOU HAVE A SPARE 17+ YEAR OLD?

WOULD THEY LIKE TO WORK WITH US?

- Is your child now too old to attend clubs at The Outdoors Project but still loves what we do?

- Are they taking their first steps into the working world and need some worthwhile work experience?

We're recruiting volunteers! Our volunteers get involved with all aspects of the business and work with our fun and friendly team. We'd love to have them come to assist with some of our after school clubs and holiday clubs over the next few weeks or months.

Who? The role would suit someone who:
- has lots of energy and enthusiasm!
- has a passion for the outdoors - come rain or shine
- likes the idea of working with children
- is available to attend our Staff Training Day & commit to at least 1 week with us (ideally 2+ weeks)

Why?
- the opportunity to join a fun and growing business
- invaluable experience for their CV
- build their confidence
- build their skills in communication, organisation and safety management
- they could make a meaningful impact to the lives of young people
- the possibility of staying on with us and developing their role within the company
- to get them off the sofa and stop them from telling you "I'm bored!"

What can we offer?
- training in first aid, safeguarding and a range of practical skills
- an Enhanced DBS check (and certificate)
- completion of the Duke of Edinburgh 'volunteering' section
- completion of 'work-based learning', for college students who require it as part of their course
- uniform
- a reference for further work
- potential future employment at The Outdoors Project

Put your young adult at the front of the queue for future employment. Give them the opportunity to have an active, fun-filled time, in the fresh air, surrounded by nature, while building friendships and valuable skills along the way.

We'd love to take them off your hands, and I'm sure they'd have a fantastic time too.

To enquire, they should email a CV or a short letter outlining why they'd like to get involved, their availability, and where in the UK they are interested in working with us. To: info@theoutdoorsproject.co.uk

We look forward to hearing from you!

Here are some words from one of our Holiday Club Leaders, Sammie, on working with The Outdoors Project:

“A huge THANK YOU for the experience working with you at the holiday clubs & again for the great time Friday eve (at the staff social). I've worked with many similar companies and this experience really stood out to me for having:
- really well planned, fun, suitable activities
- a well-trained team
- great communication before, during and after clubs
- tons of positivity from the whole team about the organisation. It seems no one ever has anything other than good things to say
- great management from Connor. Always positive, very communicative and supportive, without ever being overbearing. It was flawless all week."

-Sammie, Holiday Club Leader.
