WEEKEND CLUBS

At our WEEKEND CLUBS we can really get stuck into our most immersive and exciting activities.   We know it can be daunting for children to spend a whole day with new people, that’s why we always ensure they get a warm welcome and that we get fun and simple team games running straight away.

Watching children’s confidence grow and new friendships form is one of the most rewarding parts of what we do

INDIVIDUAL BOOKINGS: If you don’t want to book and pay for a group, you can book individual spaces via the website share the date you have booked with other parents and they can book their child on direct. On the day children will be able to choose to be in a group with their friends up to a max of 20 kids.

BIRTHDAY PARTIES/ GROUP BOOKINGS: Please email info@theoutdoorsproject.co.uk and let us know the date, location and number of spaces you would like to book.  Max group size 20 kids. We will email you to confirm the date and reserve the spaces for you. Payment is due in full 1 month prior to the club date, we will send you an email to request payment. Price: £32 per child/15% discount for group bookings of 5+ .

GROUP BOOKING - CHILDREN’S DETAILS:
We will need details for all children who will be attending the group/party.  We will ask the lead member for the group booking to complete a form with all the children details (name/date of birth/parent contact and any medical notes) and return to us 3 days prior to the date.  By sending over the guests ahead of time we can allocate the birthday party to a group together and ensure we have all the information we need meaning more time for fun on the day!
If there any last minute changes please do just make sure we have any additional details on the day.

WHAT TIME IS IT AND WHERE?
• Drop off at 10am - Pick up at 3pm • Cottesmore St Mary Catholic Primary School, The Upper Drive, Hove BN3 6NB Please find us at the school field entrance (not via the school carpark, directly off The Upper Drive)

WHAT WILL THE KIDS BE DOING?
The Outdoors Project mission is for children to have lots of fun together in the outdoors. The weekend clubs are run every Saturday with different theme and activities planned for the day. Lots of silliness, fresh air, games and adventure!
During the day we will have a birthday moment for all the birthday children attending. We’ll sing happy birthday and present the birthday child with a goodie bag with a club members t shirt in and their choice of one of our unique collectable patches.
The club runs in ‘bubbles’ of 20 children per two adults with multiple groups operating on the day.
The Birthday group will be all together in one group. Please make your child aware that they will be in a group with other children during the day (unless you have booked out a full group).

WILL YOU REALLY BE OUTDOORS ALL DAY? DEFINITELY!
We will have large shelters set up, toilets and hand washing facilities. Please make sure you have suitable clothing and footwear for a day outside.

FIRST TIME WITH US?  It's normal to be a little nervous on your first day but trust us when we say everyone who comes has SO MUCH FUN! All our instructors are really kind, friendly and there to make sure you have good time. They love to show you how to join in and will make sure to introduce you to new friends.    "You'll never be bored when you try something new. There's really no limit to what you can do!" –Dr Suess.

A BIT MORE INFO ABOUT US FOR THE PARENTS    Every day is different to keep the young ones enthused and entertained enjoying the outdoors!  Our activities are a huge mixture of gameplay, learning new skills, communication & teamwork, crafting or building, playing & creating memories to last.  A non-competitive "just for fun" environment, with something for everyone from the quiet and methodical to the loud and lively!  Activities are a mixture of children playing together or having the opportunity to find some space by themselves. We encourage a supportive and happy environment where the children can build friendships, succeed at new tasks and feel relaxed in an open green space.   We encourage physical "green" exercise throughout our gameplay to promote health and wellbeing.
Once with us they will be encouraged to participate in the planned activity for the day so please do make sure to check that the activity for the day is a good fit for your child prior to booking.

Covid-19: Our approach to reopening The Outdoors Project is based upon a number of factors. Safety is of course a concern for many parents and carers at the moment but by understanding the benefits of outdoors play more and by working together to help manage the risks, we can prioritise children playing together outdoors again. We recognise the importance of play for children.
