Watching children’s confidence grow and new friendships form at our clubs is one of the most rewarding parts of what we do.

With a non-competitive environment, children feel more relaxed and can challenge themselves to try new things in a fun environment, unlike sports specific clubs, as every person has something they excel at in nature.

Some of our most popular activities take pop culture icons, such as Harry Potter, Pokemon or Star Wars and build an imaginative day of activities around these stories and characters. Our tech meets nature sessions, such as Minecraft or Among Us, bring to life elements of the games that many children love. The meeting of these two worlds often encourages somewhat shy or reluctant children to come for the very first time, only to find that they return again and again to enjoy Bushcraft, Campfire Cooking, nature games and so much more.

NEW Minecraft Day with Tools & Model Workshop: Welcome to our popular Minecraft Day with a BRAND-NEW Tools & Model Workshop. The kids will be building & maintaining their village using bushcraft equipment, while earning reward pixels & protecting their village from the Creeper! They will have to collect their elements & using the crafting table build their tools, before our Minecraft paper pixel character modelling workshop.

Bad Santa & Snowball Nerf: Christmas Special: Join us for an energetic day of Nerf dart dodging, with tactical & team-based Nerf games. There’s an imposter dressed as Santa & he’s out to steal Christmas – we need help to save our stockings! Come along for battling Bad Santa & a game of Snowball Assault. (Due to the more competitive nature of this day, age 6+ is recommended).

Xmas Crafts & Cookout: Bird Feeders, Snow Making & S’mores: Today we’ll be enjoying a wintery Christmas craft day appreciating the beautiful season of winter. We’ll be helping our feathered friends out as we craft some bird feeders and there’ll be a ‘snow’ ball making session before we come together to toast s’mores & hunt for the candy canes Santa’s elves have left out for us!

SCHOOL & EVENTS ENQUIRY

I grew up in South Wales, right next to the Brecon Beacons - it would have been impossible not to fall in love with nature! I spent many a school trip up a mountain or submerged in a river (not always on purpose!). I travelled extensively in my early 20's, teaching English in India, moving onto Australia and New Zealand where I hiked glaciers, explored caves and scuba dived and snorkelled my way around the Great Barrier Reef.

I qualifed as a primary school teacher at the age of 23 and taught in South-East London for 14 years. After having my daughter, Carys, in 2021, I wanted to pursue something different; something where I could still make positive impact on children’s lives whilst allowing me to spend more time with my family. I’m a passionate advocate for children’s mental health and wellbeing and love running The Outdoors Project - Havering. It's by far the best and most rewarding job I've ever had!
