Home/ Brighton & Hove/ Saplings details

Saplings is not currently running in Lewes for this term - we'll revisit soon!

Saplings is our fun, nature inspired activity group for pre-school children and their parents. If your child is active, interested in nature and loves playing in the great outdoors then this is for them!

Your child will learn, play and create with sensory activities inspired by nature, including bug hunts, mud painting, natural art. They will be introduced to the changing seasons, a range of wildlife, they will forage, make things to take home.

"She comes home so proud of the things she has made, and ready for a long nap after all the running around!"

"We made some lovely memories going to Saplings"

"It's been good for his confidence as well as a really lovely part of our weekly rhythm"

Who? Sessions are suitable for children aged 18 months (or younger if they are able to walk) up to 4 years old (pre-school). Parents must stay with their child too. Younger siblings (babies who can not walk) can come along free of charge.

What should they wear? Dress for outdoors play & the weather! A sun hat, airy clothing & sun cream if it's hot & sunny. Waterproofs, outdoor shoes & layers if it's colder, raining or muddy. We sometimes use temporary shelters/gazebos but also love to play in puddles...!
