Covid-19: Our approach to reopening The Outdoors Project will be based upon a number of factors. Safety is of course a concern for many parents and carers at the moment but by understanding the benefits of outdoors play more and by working together to help manage the risks, we can prioritise children playing together outdoors again. We recognise the importance of play for children in their daily lives and can't wait to get outdoors and play together in nature!  Please sign up to Newsletter to receive updates.

We're all about playing outdoors whatever the weather; being silly, having fun, making new friends and learning some new skills! On a typical day we'll have two or three main activities based around the day's theme.

Each holiday club runs from 10am-3pm with each activity running for about one hour. We make sure to have plenty of play and games in between our main activities - these can be both energetic or calm gamesm depending on the group/mood/day.

For example, on a Bushcraft Day you might expect there to be some fire lighting practise, shelter building, marshmallow toasting and plenty of games throughout!

Quotes from the parents and carers:

"My daughter attended the Apache day in Horfield today. She was a bit nervous as this was her first day at any sort of holiday club and I was nervous as it was a really windy day! But she absolutely loved it, the staff welcomed her right front the beginning and she didn't look back. We even ended up staying on the site for ages after it finished so she could tell us everything she had done!"

"Again the girls had a top day! Thank you. I felt happy leaving them in the morning knowing they were going to have a fun filled day in a welcoming, caring environment - and you didn't dissapoint - they loved it! Thank you"

"Our 6 year old had the most incredible day with you guys! He came back full of energy and excitement and then slept brilliantly all night! You guys are amazing! Thank you so much :-)"

Quote from Alex, aged 6:

"I went to the Pokemon Outdoor Project yesterday and I gave it 5 out of 5 because we made pokeballs and you get to play a lot and you get to climb trees. It was EPIC!"
