WHAT WILL THE KIDS BE DOING?
The Outdoors Project mission is for children to have lots of fun together in the outdoors.

Please check here for party activity ideas.
During the day we will have a birthday moment. We’ll sing happy birthday and present the birthday child with a goodie bag with a club members t shirt in and their choice of one of our unique collectable patches.

WHAT DO THE KIDS NEED TO BRING?
• Suitable clothing – We will be outdoors all day so please pack suitable clothing for the time of year
(hats, coats, gloves, waterproof trousers for colder months and suncream & sunhats for summer months)
• Suitable Footwear – Depending on the season, we will be active and getting muddy!!
Wellies or waterproof boots are advisable for Autumn & Winter and trainers for Spring & Summer (no flipflops).
• Any Medical Equipment please hand to the lead instructor on arrival with any instructions.
• Please do NOT send in a cake/sweets/food for the birthday party.
Other children in the bubble may have allergies to food types and we are avoiding the sharing of food.

WHO ARE THE INSTRUCTORS?
The Outdoors Project instructors are all fully trained and all have DBS checks, First Aid training and have lots of experience with children in the outdoors! They’re energetic, enthusiastic, caring and engaging with a focus on keeping the kids entertained all day with the main focus on FUN!

WILL YOU REALLY BE OUTDOORS ALL DAY? DEFINITELY!
We will have large shelters set up, toilets and hand washing facilities. Please make sure you have suitable clothing and footwear for a day outside.

GROUP BOOKING - CHILDREN’S DETAILS:
We will need details for all children who will be attending the party.  We will ask the lead member for the group booking to complete a form with all the children details (name/date of birth/parent contact and any medical notes) and return to us 3 days prior to the date.  By sending over the guests ahead of time we can allocate the birthday party to a group together and ensure we have all the information we need meaning more time for fun on the day!
If there any last minute changes please do just make sure we have any additional details on the day.

FIRST TIME WITH US?  It's normal to be a little nervous on your first day but trust us when we say everyone who comes has SO MUCH FUN! All our instructors are really kind, friendly and there to make sure you have good time. They love to show you how to join in and will make sure to introduce you to new friends.    "You'll never be bored when you try something new. There's really no limit to what you can do!"Dr Suess.

A BIT MORE INFO ABOUT US FOR THE PARENTS    Every day is different to keep the young ones enthused and entertained enjoying the outdoors!  Our activities are a huge mixture of gameplay, learning new skills, communication & teamwork, crafting or building, playing & creating memories to last.  A non-competitive "just for fun" environment, with something for everyone from the quiet and methodical to the loud and lively!  Activities are a mixture of children playing together or having the opportunity to find some space by themselves. We encourage a supportive and happy environment where the children can build friendships, succeed at new tasks and feel relaxed in an open green space.   We encourage physical "green" exercise throughout our gameplay to promote health and wellbeing.
Once with us they will be encouraged to participate in the planned activity for the day so please do make sure to check that the activity for the day is a good fit for your child prior to booking.

Covid-19: Our approach to reopening The Outdoors Project is based upon a number of factors. Safety is of course a concern for many parents and carers at the moment but by understanding the benefits of outdoors play more and by working together to help manage the risks, we can prioritise children playing together outdoors again. We recognise the importance of play for children.
