BIRTHDAY PARTIES
We run Birthday parties all year round in Lewes District & Mid Sussex areas. We run our parties at our two prefered venues but can also discuss visiting private venues or local green spaces near you.
Venues:
The Paddock, Lewes (BN7 1YY) - A huge green space with trees & toilet facilities. It's our holiday club venue and works great for parties too!
Great Walstead, Lindfield (RH16 2QL) - Huge Private woodland on the wonderful Great Walstead School Grounds. Car parking, compost loos - a very outdoors & woodland experience! It's also our Holiday club venue.
To book please fill in the Birthday Party Enquiry Form Below and Choose your slot: 10am - 12pm / 1pm - 3pm / 4pm - 6pm (Later slot only available in Spring & Summer time in the lighter months)

WHAT WE OFFER:
- In your 2 hours slot you will have 1.5 hours of games & activities of your chosen theme lead by us and half an hour to enjoy the space & have any food or cake you have provided.
- An Outdoors Project T Shirt & Special Patch for the birthday child
- We'll help with a birthday moment if you have cake (Sparklers, Song & Group Picture)
- Once we've finished the 1.5 hours of activity we hand the kids back to you to enjoy the space and provide food if you choose before collection time.
- Age Range: 5 - 11 years (Younger siblings below 5 years are allowed to be there but must be accompanied by an adult at all times and looked after)
HOW MUCH IS IT?
£230 for up to 15 Children
£330 for up to 30 children
This includes venue hire fees, gazebo equipment set up & activities.
£50 deposit is required at time of booking
Final balance due one week before the event
Optional Extras:
Pinata! We can provide a fully stocked pinata and run this activity for you - £20 charge for this
SET UP & FOOD:
We will run entertainment for 1.5 hours but do not provide food or refreshments. In your 2 hour slot you have half an hour to enjoy the space and provide food for the kids if you choose. We set up a shelter, camping tables and benches or rugs (weather dependent) for you to use as a base.
We suggest to keep it simple especially in different weathers scenarios:
- Cups with Squash & Water (There are taps available to refill at both sites)
- Buffet style food kids can pick at
- Cake or Muffins to give out plus party bags if you choose.
*Please take your rubbish with you in a bin bag
You as the organiser parents are invited to come earlier than the start time to set up if you require. Depeding on the locaiton we'll discuss best drop off and pick up times for the kids so you get the most out of your slot.
DO PARENTS NEED TO STAY?
We only ask the organiser parents to stay for the party, others are welcome to drop and go. The instructors will lead the activities & take the group off to play. Guests parents are welcome to hang out for the duration if they choose to do so.
ACTIVITY THEMES:
Outdoors Games & Air Toys - A mixture of energetic outdoors games, party games and Air Toys play with Howlers, Circus Skills & Frisbees.
Harry Potter – Wand Crafting – whittle your very own enchanted wand & play magical wizard games!
Minecraft vs Wildcraft – Collect your elements, build and maintain your village, earn reward pixels and protect your land and villagers. Watch out for the Creeper!
Nerf – NERF Action! Capture the flag, Search & Destroy & Base defending style games. Great fun for Nerf enthusiasts!
Bushcraft – Toast tasty marshmallows & either build a survival shelter OR Master your fire lighting
skills! (We’ll tailor this based on age group / requests - note we can only run fire lighting at Great Walstead)
Super Mario "Build your very own Yoshi Egg, play ‘Bowsers Fury’ and Energetic run around Mario Games. An outdoors spin on the popular video game"
Pokemon - We'll be embarking on a Pokemon adventure in the park and creating our own Pokemon, making Pokemon balls to take home too. Along with playing Poke Ball Run & Lagori "Pokemon Stack Attack "Gotta catch them all!”
Among Us - "Based on the popular video game, for those wannabe spies & spaceship survivors - hone your skills in deception, mystery, & intrigue… Join us for an outdoor adaptation of Among Us, as you work out who the imposter is, & create your very own character to take home."
Star Wars - "May the force be with you! Craft cosmic play-dough planets, play lightsaber tag, deathstar dodgeball & test your Jedi skills against Darth Vader OR join the Mandalorians in a Nerf battle for baby yoda!"
Charlie & The Chocolate Factory - "Based on the popular Roald Dahl Book we'll be embarking on a hunt for the golden ticket & making Candy necklaces - yum!"
Recommended for ages 5-6:
Mini Blobsters and Mini Shelter Building - For our smaller friends we love working with the children to make mini clay beasts and mini settlements for them to live in. The creations can be taken home of course, and we have lots fun mini-beast games to play: Ant Hospital and Spiderman Tag are some of our favourites.
Dragons - For those young mythology & dragon enthusiasts! Similar elements to our above Blobster Party with a focus on crafting Dragons & building minature dragon caves with plenty of active games to play. Whether its Toothless or the famous Hydra you're creating we're bound to have a blast!
Enchanted Forest - Exploring folklore & the woolands we'll get creative crafting fairy doors & magical creatures out of clay and play lots of fun woodland games with our special guest Starlight the naughty unicorn.
WILL YOU REALLY BE OUTDOORS ALL THE TIME? DEFINITELY! - WHAT TO WEAR/BRING
Please make sure you have suitable clothing and footwear for the time outside. Hats, coats, gloves, waterproof trousers for colder months and sun cream & sunhats for summer months.
Suitable Footwear – Depending on the season, we will be active and getting muddy!! Wellies or waterproof boots are advisable for Autumn & Winter and trainers for Spring & Summer (no flipflops).
A water bottle can be useful or you may bring cups and squash to provide for the guests.
WHO ARE THE INSTRUCTORS?
The Outdoors Project instructors are fully trained, and all have DBS checks, First Aid training and lots of experience with children in the outdoors! They’re energetic, enthusiastic, caring and engaging with a focus on keeping the kids entertained, with the main focus on FUN!
