Hear from Vicky our new Nottingham West franchisee

Hi I'm Vicky and I am so excited to bring The Outdoors Project to Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire area. The clubs and activities are designed to bring something different to the area: new skills for kids to learn and have so much fun with friends and kids alike.

Who am I?
My name is Vicky. I am a qualified secondary school PE teacher with 12 years of experience both abroad and in the UK. I am married with 2 kids and a dog. Growing up, I was always on the go, cycling with my friends, playing football outside, hiking, playing sports and more. In my free time I love going for a nice walk, exploring woodlands and nature areas, and going on camping trips with my family. I also enjoy doing crossfit weekly.

Why am I doing this?
I believe children are happiest when they are outside playing and exploring the outdoors. As an ex international rugby player myself, I do believe that sports and physical activity can help you achieve a healthy lifestyle. However, children are all unique in their own way and playing outdoors without the pressure to excel, perform and win is fundamental for them. The Outdoors Project offers opportunity to socialise, develop emotional wellbeing, explore nature and just having fun being their own pure selves – being happy!

Coming out of lockdown last year I’ve searched high and wide for something like The Outdoors Project for my kids. Unfortunately, I was unsuccessful, so I decided to do it myself. I started looking at what opportunities I can get into and I stumbled across The Outdoors Project Franchise. It is exactly what I was looking for and now with the help of Sam and Joel I am over the moon with excitement ready to kick off my clubs this Easter.

I am absolutely buzzing right now and there wasn’t one instance throughout the process where I regretted my decision to join The Outdoors Project as a franchisee. With my experience and skills I acquired working with children and the creatively planned activities The Outdoors Project offers, I am confident that this is going to be one thrilling adventure.
