Parkwood Open Day (Brighton & Hove)
Have you ever wondered exactly what your kids get up to at The Outdoors Project? Well, now you don't have to!
This weekend, we're inviting everyone - the whole family - to a free day out in nature with us in the forest. This isn't your usual drop-off kids' club!
When?
Sunday 29th May 2022, 10am - 3pm (drop in whenever you like between these times)
Where?
Parkwood Scout Camp, BN45 7BA (near Devil's Dyke, 10/15 mins drive from Brighton & Hove)
What?
- have a go at some activities with us:
1) firelighting - learn to use 'flint' & steel strikers to light a fire; learn best practices and the science behind starting fires in the wild
2) clay 'Blobster Village' making - craft skills at the ready, help us build a giant micro village with multiple districts, all from clay, leaves and sticks. Plus, learn the basics of shelter building, used to house your Blobsters, using nature's provisions, and which can be scaled up for practical use when you're out in the wilderness!
3) Nerf! Test your skills with a Nerf blaster - see how accurate you can fire our range of blasters in our Nerf firing range.
- sit around the campfire with us, cooking marshmallows
- meet the team, chat about all things outdoors & kids' fun & education
- bring a picnic!
- see our beautiful Holiday Club location Parkwood - with forested areas, wild flowers, mushrooms and the 'dark woods...'
- enter the Golden Ticket Giveaway to win entry to every day of Brighton & Hove's summer holiday clubs! That's over £1000 worth / 7 weeks of bookings.
